Songs of the Bible
When gospel pastor Joachim Dierks invites people to gospel events and services in his church, they come from near and far to be moved and inspired by his music. His songs characterise the life of the congregation. They speak directly about people, about encounters with Christ and bring the message of the Bible to life in a special way.
This edition brings together the best of these musical and spiritual encounters. In 11 songs for mixed choir, selected biblical content such as the Beatitudes, the Magnificat, “There is a time for everything” and the Lord’s Prayer are told. The result is lively, moving and sustainable church services and concerts. Each song is briefly commented on in the appendix and reference is made to the Bible.
“The focus was always on singing with a congregational reference. The fact that simple doesn’t always mean shallow is beautifully demonstrated here… This songbook will find many friends.” (Musik + Message)
