Sebastian Zebe

Born in Frankfurt (Oder) in 1962, the theologian learnt to play the violin and viola as a child. As a teenager, he also played the drums and used his free time to experiment with music. He studied theology in Erfurt and later worked there as a city youth pastor. He attaches great importance to promoting musical content in youth work and started projects with art schools, theatres and music schools. Sebastian Zebe founded and directed several children’s and youth bands and the Heavens Garden choir. The core of his work was to combine different cultural categories and thus bring the Christian message to children and young people. Musicals were a particular focus of his work. Together with Johannes Staemmler, he wrote the rock musical “Und es geschah”.

Sebastian Zebe lived in Bolzano (Italy) for 12 years and worked there as a pastor at the Evangelical Lutheran parish. He presented the radio programme “Sonntagsgedanke” on Radio Television Italiano.
Today he works as a pastor for the Protestant Reformed Church in Switzerland and lives near Zurich.
