Gospel Keys
Bits ‘n Pieces For Piano

Playing Gospel Piano?
Pianists, choir directors and piano-playing singers are increasingly interested in this. However, there is hardly any stylistically and tonally suitable literature on the subject.
In this volume, Stephan Zebe has composed and arranged 10 pieces in authentic gospel style. The models here were the playing styles of Billy Preston, Richard Tee or Greg Phillinganes.

The pieces are of increasing difficulty and contain many ideas for your own playing technique, for concerts, lessons and auditions. The chord symbols enable a harmonic overview, improvisation and playing with other musicians. There are notes or preliminary exercises for each piece.

CONTENTS: Little Piece, Trio, Sunday Morning, Moving On, For Cynthia, Sit Down, Hymn, Amazing Grace, Like A River, Alleluia Time

“Sophisticated mixture of sonorous, energetic and groovy pieces and quiet, harmonically very interesting titles. Rewarding arrangements. Last but not least, this collection should and will encourage you to develop your own ideas and improvise in “gospel style”.” (crossOver)
