You Are the Light
Sometimes intoxicating and exhilarating, then meditative and soulful; in this edition, Hubert Zaindl succeeds in creating a variety of moods. With the five modern songs for mixed choir and accompaniment, singers and listeners are offered special accents. Zaindl (born 1975) set texts by various authors to music with the character of praise and prayer. He uses many musical elements from Swing, Jazz, Pop and Gospel again and again.
The vocal parts are arranged for a three-part and four-part mixed choir. Some soloists are provided. Skilfully annotated piano writing and chord symbols make accompaniment easy.
The compositions in this edition are easy to sing and suitable for concerts and Sunday services.
